Instructions for abstract preparation
Submission
All final abstracts must be submitted as a file attached to your e-mail addressed to cholera@cseas.kyoto-u.ac.jp (Please note the change in the underlined part from the previous system, “through this web site”, to the current system.). These include those submitted initially for evaluation of their quality and subsequently accepted. All abstracts must be checked whether they meet the guidelines described below. Modify the abstracts if needed and then prepare the final manuscript as a PDF file or a Word file for submission; a PDF file is preferable.
Deadline of submission is October 20, 2010.
Five-page or one-page abstract
A five-page extended abstract (5 page or less) is required for an oral presentation. Prepare a one-page abstract for a poster presentation.
Style
• Use A4 paper (210mm×297mm) with top and bottom margins of 2.54 cm (1 inch) and 3.17 cm (1.25 inches), respectively, and left and right margins of 3.17 cm (1.25 inches). Avoid including page numbers, any header. any footer, or footnotes.
• Times New Roman is a recommended font if available. If not, select an appropriate font. The abstract book will be prepared printed abstracts by photoengraving. The size of the characters you see on your abstract is that will appear in the abstract book.
• Include at least a title, authors, affiliations, and a body text. Tables, figures, and references are optional; they are helpful to readers.
• Examples of a five- and one-page abstracts are attached but authors do not have to follow exactly the styles of the examples as far as the abstracts do not deviate from the above guidelines.
